Remind that your Au Pair shall be treated as a member of your familly.
As such you, we have established a guideline to help you preparing your Au Pair weekly schedule

Acceptable

Anything regarding children
Putting away children clothes
Tidying the chidren’s room and playroom as well as her own
Changing the children’s bed
Cleaning the baths, basins and mirrors in both her and the children’s bathroom
Children’s laundry and ironing – this may include a few adults items but not entirely the adults laundry
Preparing the children’s meals
Clearing the kitchen after meals and removing any spillages etc
Emptying the dishwasher
Sweeping the kitchen and hallway floors
Hoovering & dusting furnitures
Help in preparing family meals and private dinner parties, if the Au Pair is herself invited
Light shopping not the weekly shopping, taking clothes to the drycleaner

Not acceptable

Anything regarding adults, such as cleaning after them or very personal tasks such as putting away clothes, washing underwear
Spring cleaning
Changing parent’s bed
Cleaning household appliances thoroughly such as fridges, oven, freezers or microwaves
Cleaning parent’s room and private bathrooms
Cleaning windows
Cleaning outside the house
Watering the garden
Washing the car
Preparing, or help prepare private parties if not invited
Polishing silverware and brass etc
